Goodbye cold mornings. Goodbye great gray blanket. Goodbye China, at least for the next three weeks. Ashley and Phil are headed to South Africa.
Our flight left a dreary Chengdu at 2:00, the scheduled departure time, for Hong Kong. Rushing into Central and making it to Tin Hau to catch up with Jeff, Werner and Rachael, drinking some Huston Bay Distillery bourbon, eating some Thai food before boarding the shortest 18 hour flight (it was actually 12) to South Africa.
Now, Ashley and I will try and keep post daily for your reading pleasure. But where we are traveling it is unavoidable that posts will be missed and back dateded (like this one), as well for entries to be revised with pictures once I have uploaded them. We promise to try and keep it as regular and as interesting as possible – some that should not be too hard to do.
