What’s with July and nationalist holidays? The 90th anniversary of the Communist Party, Canada Day and of course, the fourth of July, there’s a lot to be celebrated in a long weekend!
Phil and I celebrated the fourth on the second by attending the American Chamber of Commerce’s annual fourth of July celebration last Saturday on a grassy lawn (grass?!?!) at the Homeland Hotel. Local hotels and restaurants provide American and local food, local entertainment performs American music and of course, there was a very American lucky draw, giving away a grand prize of a MBA to Webster college…an MBA?!?!
All in all it was a good event with free food and all the Coors light you could drink. Nothing says fourth of July like a bowl of spicy noodles after all! Wishing all of you stateside a happy fourth!
